In 2006
Karina conducted an investigation and critical analysis into the possibility of the Earth having
had a second moon during its early history. She proposed that this captured
moon could have been responsible for the series of mass extinction's that have occurred
during the evolution of life on Earth. |

For 2007
Karina researched the climactic interrelationship between Earth, Venus and Titan,
a comparative study of these three individual planetary environments to determine how the
Earths climate is affected by the release of Greenhouse Gases. |
